Believers Prepare Yourselves !!!!!!

I will be very happy when this election is over. I've decided that regardless of outcome, I will definately be praying for our government officials, both Reps & Dems, because they're going to need it and it is the scriptural thing to do.

The reason for the title is this: Historically speaking, the Christian faith has done very well when it has been persecuted. Don't get me wrong, I'm not especially excited that our world has come to this, but in some strange deranged way, I'm looking forward to the challenge, and yes, proving my faith.

For a long time now Christians have been very good about jumping into the political arena and voicing their views on morality and justice when it comes to governmental issues. (especially at election time)
Great! Fine! Terrific!! Now....

When we ban together every couple to four years or so, we manage to look like the run of the mill PAC, Lobbyist, or annoyance. We shout, complain and condemn, and declare that we ain't gettin none of ours.
Sound a little harsh?... I'm sorry..... just trying to give some perspective. let's move on now.

If Christians want to get in the middle of the government game, Okay, just make it a consistent stay there so that you will be known for what and who you are.

Can we change the government? Nope. Will we be able to overturn Roe v. Wade in a heartbeat? Nope. We could elect the most profound and dedicated Christian of our day to the Presidency and how much would it change? Not much at all. The poor guy (or gal) would not be able to accomplish squat.

The general public votes on one or two issues at the most. On top of that, the general public is not one bit concerned with your problems, they are concerned with theirs. Get over it!!
This economic and political mess that we've got didn't happen over night. Our country's Post Modern view took decades to develop.

I know you are thinking that I'm condemning the Christians for this mess..... nope not at all.
But I will ask a few questions to ask yourself, because I've had to ask them of myself.

1. How many times have you shared the gospel this week?
2. This month?
3. This year?
4. When was the last time you did some charity work or volunteer for a secular or non-secular event?

The reason for the questions is this: Voters vote based on what is the most important to them right now. You won't see a 20 year old kid throwing his hands up about social security reform.

SHARE YOUR FAITH !! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Just maybe if we were a little more obedient in spreading the gospel ?..... then?......Hmmmm

We can't and won't be able to significantly change anything until we start sharing our faith and the Holy Spirit changes hearts. Take it to the streets and talk to people, let them know with your words and actions that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. Be BOLD ! ! ! ! ! !

Here's the back half of this edition. As I said before, our faith is about to be tested. We will be persecuted because we do not support gay marriage, abortion, trees & bunnies first.

alright, make my day and persecute me. I'm still not going anywhere.

Jesus the Biker

Jesus the Biker
He was a lot like you and me. The government didn't like him. The church thought he was weird. His friends were few. What friends he had, denied him. He was persecuted by hypocrites. He hung around people like you and me, not the goody-two-shoes Pharisees. Yes, if Jesus were on this earth in the flesh he would be next to you on his Harley telling you he loved you.......
enough to die for you.
BIKER'S PRAYER
God, I know you are real. Thank you for being in the wind with me even before I ask. Thank you for your son, JESUS that died for me. Forgive me of my sins; for I truly repent and turn to you.
JESUS, I ask you now to come in my heart that we might ride together daily. I dedicate myself and my scoot to serving you. Thank you LORD for my salvation!
Thank you, for I am now "in HIS Wind". Amen

Did I Mention, I'm Married ?

Sometimes a guy just has to stop and take stock of where he is, what he is , and where he's going. Then, if he's got a lick of smarts to him, he'll think on how he got where he is now, and just who is responsible. LOL! For some, that could get you in trouble.

Seriously though, I'm going to take a minute and say a few words about my wife.

I'm sure there are those out there that when asked if you are happily married you'd say " Yes, I'm married and she's happy" , but I'm sure most of you would say yes I am with pride.

We've been married for about five and a half years now, and no better companion a guy could ask for. Today is her birthday and while I will remain a gentleman and NOT disclose her age, I will disclose a few things about her that makes her special.

She is quick to smile, loves to laugh (just as much at herself), is kind, polite, generous, a true lady (you have to be a woman before you can be a lady and she hits both marks), she's real easy on the eyes, a comfort to the heart.

She loves the Lord first and foremost, a great mom, wife, friend.

She has passion for ministry ( our motorcycle ministry, youth, single mom's)

Here she is on our church mission trip to New Albany, IN

Yep.. the apple of my eye. But there's something else...

A little over a year ago, she was in a near head on collision by a guy who crossed the center line. This crash could have and likely should have killed her or at the very least damaged her severly. God's hand of protection was on her. Yes, there are still some physical difficulties from this, but she is here, now, with me still, we have a lot of work yet to do with our families and in our ministry.
I thank God every day for this blessing, and that I still have my mate to help with this ministry.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart..... Love ya
