Merry Christmas

Well... it's been a while since I've posted anything. While I have had plenty to say, there either hasn't been time, or I didn't have much to say that was of good nature.

Today is the day after Christmas, and I hope those who read this had a good one. I also hope that you had opportunity (if you are a believer) to worship and give rememberance for this season and just why Christ was born. If you are not a believer, well I do pray and hope that you found some revelation in your life that brought you closer to God.

As I said before, this is the day after, the big let down, the day when everything that didn't fit went back or everything that wasn't what you wanted went back.

As for me, I got to celebrate Christmas morning in my own house, with my wife and all 4 kids were there to open gifts and have some quality family time. A lazy day was spent after we had some family over for Christmas dinner, and of course, I got a pretty good nap in during the afternoon hours. Sources say that it was a very good nap because of the excessive snoring comming from the living room. Aw well.

New tradition that started last year and has spilled over to this year also. Nerf Dart Tag.
Pam & I against Tyler & Blake. Yes, we each have our own weapons, and the whole house is the battleground. During one of these intense battles, I attempted to dive over the couch to better position and cover, my foot caught on a cushion and I landed on my shoulder ( the bad one) re-injuring it. Pam told me later that we are not 16 anymore and such di-doe's are gonna hurt.

Later, when we had Blake cornered downstairs and we mounted an assult to eliminate him, I rushed down the stairs, she followed at a slightly (okay much) slower pace and sprained a toe on the stairs. I had to inform her that we weren't 16 anymore and such di-doe's were gonna hurt.

After the battles, it was decided that the boys had won the war, though Pam & I made a good fight of it and took the field on several battles. We then afforded ourselves the celebration of lounging in the living room, feasting on Pizza Rolls, and watching Alvin & the Chipmunks.

As I stated, today is the day after, it's going to be mid 60's for a short time, I have a few small things to accomplish at the shop, and then.... I'm jumping on the scooter for a little after Christmas R & R. It might only amount to a couple of hours or 30 minutes, but I feel the need for the wind in my face the Lord on my heart, and that Harley rumble in my ears.

Take care, Merry Christmas
